Tool
Towel weight converter.
Hotel towels are specified in GSM in Europe and in pounds per dozen in the US. Choose a size, enter either value, and see the other.
Approximate: GSM = towel weight ÷ towel area. Borders, hems and finishing tolerances mean real towels vary, which is why tolerances are written into every specification.
Guide
Incoterms 2020 in plain English.
Incoterms decide where cost and risk pass from seller to buyer. Which terms can be offered is confirmed for each order and stated on the quotation.
| Term | Name | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| EXW | Ex Works | You collect from the seller’s premises and handle export clearance and all transport. |
| FCA | Free Carrier | Goods are export-cleared and handed to your nominated carrier at a named place. |
| FOB | Free On Board | Goods are loaded on the vessel at the port of shipment (e.g. Karachi). Risk passes once on board. |
| CFR | Cost and Freight | Sea freight to your port is paid; risk still passes once goods are on board in Pakistan. |
| CIF | Cost, Insurance and Freight | As CFR, plus minimum cargo insurance to your port. |
| DAP | Delivered at Place | Delivered to a named destination; you handle import clearance and duties. |
| DDP | Delivered Duty Paid | Delivered cleared for import with duties paid. Rarely available for first orders. |
Summary only. The ICC’s Incoterms® 2020 rules define each term in full.
Glossary
Specification terms.
The terms that appear in towel, glove and football specifications.
GSM: towel weight, explained
GSM is grams per square metre, the weight of the fabric. It affects how a towel feels, how fast it dries and how it launders. It is one part of a specification: yarn type, loop construction and finishing matter just as much.
- 300–400Lighter
Quick-drying. Gym, pool, spa and kitchen use; economical laundering.
- 400–500Everyday
Common for hand towels and mid-range hotel and retail bath towels.
- 500–600Hotel
A frequent choice for hotel bath towels: absorbent and durable.
- 600–750+Plush
Heavier, softer handle for premium rooms, suites and bath sheets.
Indicative ranges used across the towel trade, not a statement of what is in stock. The achievable weight is confirmed with the manufacturing partner for your specification.
Common reference sizes
| Item | Typical size |
|---|---|
| Face towel / washcloth | 30 × 30 cm |
| Hand towel | 40 × 70 – 50 × 90 cm |
| Bath towel | 70 × 140 cm |
| Bath sheet | 90 × 160 – 100 × 180 cm |
| Beach / pool towel | 80 × 160 – 90 × 180 cm |
| Bath mat | 50 × 80 cm |
Any size can be requested; tolerances are agreed in the specification.
Terms you will see in a quotation
- 100% cotton
- All-cotton pile and ground. The usual baseline for hotel towels.
- Ring-spun cotton
- Yarn spun to be finer and stronger, giving a softer, smoother pile.
- Combed cotton
- Short fibres removed before spinning, which reduces lint and pilling.
- Dobby border
- The woven band near the hem; it can carry a pattern or a woven logo.
- Private label
- Made to your specification and sold under your brand, with your labels and packaging.

| Nitrile coating | Grip in dry and oily conditions; good abrasion resistance. |
| PU coating | Thin, flexible palm for assembly and precision handling. |

Listed so you can tell us what your market requires. We do not claim any glove meets a standard; we request the manufacturer’s test report for the specific glove and share it with you.
Sizing
Gloves are sized by hand circumference, commonly 7 (S) to 11 (XXL). Specify the size range and the ratio of sizes per carton.
Tell us your market (EU, UK, US or other) so sizing and labelling match what your customers expect.
Workwear fabrics at a glance

| Polyester oxford, PU-coated | Waterproof hi-vis jackets and outer shells. |
| Polyester mesh or knit | Lightweight hi-vis vests and T-shirts. |
| Flame-resistant fabric | Treated or inherently FR fabrics, chosen only against a stated standard. |

Listed so you can tell us what your market requires. We do not claim any garment meets a standard; we request test documentation for the specific fabric, tape and garment.
Sizing
Garments are specified by size range (e.g. S–3XL or chest and waist sizes), fit and the ratio of sizes per carton.
Send a size chart or a reference garment if you have one; it removes guesswork on fit.
Construction compared
Hand-stitched
Panels stitched by hand, typically 32. Soft touch and durable seams. Sialkot’s traditional method, common for match and premium training balls.
Machine-stitched
Panels stitched by machine. Consistent and cost-efficient for training, school, recreational and promotional volumes.
Thermal-bonded
Panels bonded with heat and adhesive, no external stitching. Smooth surface and lower water uptake; allows modern panel shapes.
Ball sizes
| Size | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Size 5 | Age 12 and over; adult play. 68–70 cm circumference. |

Working with us
Practical questions.
Monday–Saturday, from Karachi (PKT, UTC+5) and Seattle (US Pacific time). We work in English and Urdu.
How quickly do you reply?
Within one business day, even if the first reply is only to tell you when a full answer will follow.
What language and time zone do you work in?
English (and Urdu). We work from Karachi (PKT, UTC+5) and Seattle (US Pacific time), so between us we cover business hours in Europe, the UK and North America. North American buyers can call or WhatsApp our US number directly.
Do you work with smaller orders?
Tell us your volume. Minimum quantities depend on the product and the manufacturer, and we confirm them in the quotation rather than guessing on a website. Trial orders before a repeat programme are often possible.
Can we speak on a video call before ordering?
Yes. Ask by email or WhatsApp and we will arrange a time that suits your time zone.
Can I send my own specification sheet or artwork?
Please do. After the brief opens in your email app, attach drawings, artwork, spec sheets or reference photos before sending.
Do you hold certifications such as OEKO-TEX® or BSCI?
Kashif Ventures is a sourcing company and is not presented as certified. Where a manufacturing partner holds a valid certificate for the exact product, we share it only with the manufacturer’s permission.
